Small group ministry is an essential aspect of our ministry. We call ours HOME Groups, which is an acronym for the four important dimensions of each time together:
H = A Hard and Honest look at Scripture;
- 2 Timothy 3:15-17
O = To Offer up praise, thanks and prayers to Almighty God;
- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
M = To exercise a Ministry of care and compassion for one another;
- Galatians 6:1-10
E = Evangelism, to exercise gospel ministry towards those outside of Christ;
-1 Timothy 2:1-6; 1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1
St Matts has a range of HOME Groups which are sure to fit everyone's needs. There are congregational, mixed gender, single gender, young mums, seniors, young adult and teenage groups - so there should be no problem finding one that's suitable for you.
Groups meet on almost every day of the week. Some meet during the day others in the evenings, some are weekly, others every two weeks and some meet once a month.
