Kids Church is our Sunday school program which runs during the 10am service. The children begin in church for the first 15 minutes with their parents before being prayed for and going out into our halls for a child-centred teaching program. The program begins with a time of singing and then the children split into their various year groups for some Bible teaching and related activities.
There are two separate groups which run at the same time. The Infants program caters for children in the preschool year, whilst the Primary program is for children in Years 3 to 6.
As part of St Matts Safe Ministry policy, all our leaders and junior leaders are required to attain a certificate in Safe Ministry. Infants Kids Church meets each Sunday morning from 10.15 - 11.15 during the 10.00 am service in Hall 2 – please come and join us.
| K is for “kids” - aged 5-8 - girls and boys. All are welcome. F is for “fun, friendship and family” - At infants KFC we play games, make friends, do drama, dress up, listen to stories, and make craft.
- It’s good to get to know other kids and leaders who make sure we are safe and happy.
- We also like learning about Christ with our families. Kids spend some time in Church with mum or dad first and then come to KFC for some kid friendly activities.
C is for “Christ” – it’s all about Jesus. We aim to teach children about how God is a loving Father who wants a personal relationship with each of us.He has made this possible by sending Jesus to build a bridge between God and us.Good news! |
