The 10:30am Wednesday service provides a traditional Anglican service, together with warm and caring friendships, and a cup of tea beforehand. Read what two of our regular members have to say about this service:
"We arrived at the Wednesday Service approximately two years ago, having just left our former Church, where we had been in attendance for fourteen years. We made the decision to come to St. Matthews after much thought and prayer, as we had been traveling a much longer distance and needed to be more locally based in our advancing years".
"This was a big decision for us, as we had left a wonderfully caring congregation and had to start all over again, learning names and making friends. We were soon embraced in a warmth of fellowship and friendship, which has now become an important part of our week and a Service we eagerly await".
"The Morning Tea at 10am is a special time together and we have noticed, over our two years here, that there seems to be a number of younger people coming along. They experience as we do, the quietness of time together and also enjoy a structured Service of Hymns and Worship".
"We partake of Communion twice a month and Morning Prayer every other Wednesday. We sing well-known hymns, which have been enjoyed over many years".
"Once a month, after the service we adjourn to the hall and have a speaker, after which we enjoy a delicious lunch".
"We would like to welcome anyone who would care to come along and experience, as we do, the warmth of friendship and fellowship which is very evident".
