Philippians.

Unity in Christ – Joy – Fellowship – Love – humility – suffering – hope!

These are all themes that are deeply expressed and articulated in this prison written letter. Being Imprisoned and on trial with the very real possibility of a death sentence for his defence of the gospel, the Apostle Paul writes his famous letter to the church at Philippi. Paul’s deep affection for his brothers and sisters in Christ is immediately evident as he writes to encourage them to stand firm in the gospel and in particular live as people who share the reality of being one ‘In Christ.’ As we study this letter together we can expect God to challenge us all to have a deep affection for one another, a robust hope in the salvation that is offered to us in Christ alone, and a deep desire to shine like stars in the universe as people who live and speak God’s word of salvation.
