CHRISTMAS

Traditionally, the period of Christmas reminds us of the gift God gave to the world in the form of his Only Begotten Son coming "in the flesh", becoming truly human.  God's purposes being worked out can be traced through the bible record, and this is illustrated in the Advent Sunday theme of Lessons and Carols.  In the first chapter of John's Gospel, the themes of God's light coming into the World, God's gift of His Son, and God's Chosen One are presented, witnessed by the writer of the Gospel, and by the testimony of John the Baptist. These thems are presented in this sermon series.
