| 1 Corinthians 1 - 6
This letter of Paul to the Corinthians gives a good look at the problems and conditions in the apostolic church in Corinth. Even though planted and nurtured by Paul himself, the church at Corinth displayed social, ethical, spiritual and doctrinal problems. While Paul was preaching and teaching in Ephesus, he was disturbed by reports from the household of Chloe about quarrels in the church in Corinth. Paul wrote this letter in response to problems and questions of the Corinthians. |
