BCA Nomads

BCA Nomads

The Bush Church Aid Society of Australia (BCA) - an association within the Anglican Church - has a priority in mission to the isolated, remote urban and rural people of Australia.

BCA Nomads are volunteers who undertake a range of tasks for remote churches as a means of providing support and fellowship when local resources are limited.

St Matthews has been sending teams of Nomads for many years. Places where work has been undertaken include:  Wilcannia, Menindee, White Cliffs, Lightning Ridge, Forbes, Broken Hill, Hillston and Cann River.

Work has mainly focused on building and grounds maintenance and has generally been within the scope of enthusiastic handymen with occasional skilled input.

The journeys, which have been of between two and three weeks, have also provided the opportunity to have a break and to visit and camp at remote places along the way.

Please be assured your skills, whatever they may be, can be used in a most fulfilling way. You will also have an opportunity to experience camping in some of Australia’s wonderful outback settings with fellow Christians.

If you would like to learn more about this exciting ministry, please contact the St Matts Office.
