Coast Evangelical Church (Coast EC) commenced services in Easter 2009, and meets in Forster Public School Hall. The Pastor is Chris Ekins, who started following Jesus as a teenagerwhile at St. Matt's, and was later involved in leading Club 78.
Chris is married to Sharon, and they have three kids (Caleb, Hannah and Chloe). Chris loves teaching the Bible, fishing and soccer. He catches as many fish as he scores goals ... He is a fullback!
Chris finished his Bachelor of Theology at Moore Theological College in 1996. He served on the staff of St Faith's Anglican Church at Narrabeen from 1996-2008. In February 2009, he and his family moved to Forster with others and started CoastEC. Chris' passion is to see people come to know Jesus and to grow in their love for him as they study God's Word.
