Who We Are:
In partnership with the people of St Matthews we aim to promote and advocate mission locally, nationally and internationally and to support our link missionaries through praying, giving, caring, learning and going.
Why become a partner in the Gospel:
“….I always pray with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now…” Philippians 1:4b-5
How to become a Partner in Gospel Mission:
Praying
- Attend Missionary Prayer Night first Wednesday of each month – New Line Cottage 7.30 pm
- Receive prayer letters from link missionaries
- Use St Matts Prayer Diaries regularly
Giving
- Direct to Mission organisations such as CMS, SIM, AFES, Wycliffe, Bush Church Aid, PHCCEA (Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Christian Education Program)
- Through the offertory marked “Mission”
- Take a Bush Church Aid offertory box
Caring
Be involved with one of our Outreach programs
- MAG (Mission Aid Group)
- ESL (English as a Second Language- Tuesday mornings during term time)
- Prison Ministry
- Belong to a Support Group for our link missionaries
- Write, email, skype, send a parcel to one of our link missionaries
Learning
- Attend St Matthews Mission Functions
- Attend conferences on Mission such as CMS Summer School, Reachout, SMBC Mission Day, SIM World
Going
On short term Missions such as
- Beach Missions
- to Hillston
- to Forster
- to Zimbabwe
